dont get pc3500 its a waste on your system...just get a pair of pc3200 since your fsb is 193 and would be a good match to ddr400

X800XT shouldn't be much of a overkill if at all, people game maxed out with a 1900XT/XTX and AMD 64 @ 2.2-2.5GHz. Just OC your CPU and try to get atleast 1.5GB ram. BF2 needs more than 1GB ram. Get 2gb ram and a decent PSU if you already don't have one.

go for the x850 either xt or pro, just look for one used on the forums, it should last long enough, and i get great performance out of that puppy

Just grab a 6600GT AGP for until you get a new system. At 1280 X 1024 you can play at mid settings pretty smoothly. It wouldn't hurt to upgrade to 1gb RAM too.

yeah, a 6600gt should be more than enough, its not expensive and not low end, should handle that game on med settings. i know someone thats running that game on a 9800 pro oc'ed a little, i think he's running a skt754 3000 or something along those lines with max on everything(no fsaa or ansio). has a gig or so of ram....2.14ghz, not bad at all. what are you temps under load.

thanks for all the help...

My temp has been running at around 40C and its been oc'ed for a day or 2 so should i push it more?

I have it at 1.7 v and 193x11 i could probably hit 200x11

thanks for that link, i think im gonna get that gig of ram, and maybe buy a 3rd stick as well since i have 3 slots

Now i just have to decide on a card....

also, if i want to build a new system, is better to get a mobo/combo or get board seperate from chip? I'm not sure whats in right now, but I've been tryin to read up and catch up on all the new stuff... the core 2duo's look pretty sweet
