Battlefield 2 problem...wtf??

I just purchased BF:2, and Ive been experiencing a problem with it. Every time I try to connect to a server, it loads up(pretty slowly thanks to the pc im using for it, but ah well). It then says, "Loading Complete. Verifying Client Data". It does this for ages, and it seems like it takes even longer than the actual loading(which is pretty damn long!). The game then kicks me back to the browser, saying "Lost Connection To The Server". This happens to every server I have been on. Any ideas what is going on?

Have you just been trying it tonight? I've been on 3 servers tonight (2 of them EA ones), and I've been kicked from each server after about 3 minutes of play. Each time, it tells me I have a connection problem, then seconds later I'm out. Possibly having issues tonight, but trying to play online with this game is fvcking nerve racking. I've NEVER had as much problems with any game as I have with this one. I've never considered taking a game back and asking for my money back till now.

It actually was a problem in the demo too. I never actually got to play that online either, but I thought it might be a deal with the demo.

I tried disabling my router firewall, and same problem. Gah. This sucks.

Might not be a problem, keep trying, If you cannot connect then indead you may have a prob. What youre describing is happening to all of us, expecially on ranked servers.

Try an unranked server with low ping.

Ive tried them all(well, not literally), and it doesnt work!!

Could it be because Im running Windows 2000? I know some others that are running it on this OS, but it isnt officially supported is it? Maybe some 2000 Firewall or something...
