Battlefield 2 Problem -> cannot create account?

It just stays on that screen "[connecting to account server]" when I try to create a multiplayer account. I just bought the game today and I can't play it online...WTF? :disgust:

The account server is screwy after the 1.01 patch. I can't connect either.

If you want to practice though, you can create an offline account and shoot some bots 🙂

Comcast cable has been having problems and basically been DOWN for 5 days in a row now....🙁.

I wasnt able to get in last night either. Is is possible to start the game to only play singleplayer / Lan without connecting to the account server ? It tries to log me in immediately after the logo screens and it would not let me into the menus. It just keeps saying connection to the account server failed.

yea mine wont connect at all today......even after i uninstalled it, prolly their servers are down or updating or something

yep today 3 friends of mine tried to connect all couldnt connect that was with demo than 2 tried with real version still didnt work i have hardcore problems with demo version sumtimes they are running and they are standing up straight there just like floating over the ground and i get hardcore network problems and its not my internet connection every other game i play is fine.

Make sure you start the game with the Battlefield 2 icon, not the play online now or something like that.

To make a singleplayer account, click manage accounts, then create account, then accept terms, then click the single player tab at the top of the box, then you can create an offline account to play singleplayer for times when your internet is down or when the master account server is down.

I had a hard time connecting to account server last night. it gave "refuse" error and "database" error sometimes. When connected the server browser couldn't list any games at all. Ended up playing HL2. Just love the graphics at 16x10. Anyway hope things will be back to normal tonight for BF2.

I just downloaded the update patch and now when I join a game server it stays at that selection map and my mouse won't move or let me enter the game! Can someone pls help me?
