Hmm, looks so authentic! I wonder if the US military may start using an altered version of this as a trainer.

nah, too arcade-y. for better gameplay they balance it out so ground troops actually have a chance against armor.

I have to say no as well.

I played the hell out of BF1942
I bought BFV very shortly after release and it was good, but had some pretty large balance issues, some of which continued for several patch releases over many months. Performance of BFV was horrendous compared to other games that looked better.

Ultimately I like the gameplay style, but the implementation in BFV was poor, and I didn't like what I was seeing in terms of customer support. Now that DICE is now owned by EA, we know that support isn't going to be getting any better.

Result is that BF2 becomes a firm "wait and see"

The sys regs are discussed at the following forums post:

Oh man, they included the FX 5200. The 5200 was a horrible card for BFV, I can't even imagine how bad it will be for BF2. For those who are not aware, BFV HEAVILY favored ATi. My benchmarks for 9700 Pro and 5900xt are here:

I suppose if they fixed the performance issues with zooming, BF2 might not perform so bad. But framerates were completely neutered in BFV when you zoomed. Performance in general wasn't horrible, but there were certain situations that would cause performance to nosedive, crash and burn, and that was tremendously annoying.

More info on the zoom issue killing framerates:

Any info on the official release date yet? I would kill to get this before my spring break 😀

as of right now: june 27

What is your source on that information? Anyways the longer it is delayed (for a while at least) the cheaper the hardware will get for any needed up grades.

You should be banned from the forum for making a statement like that.

You should be banned from the forum for spam. You work for EA or something? 😕
