For a team to do well, yes, it does need teamwork and strategy, however most servers are not organized at all. BF2 is a fun FPS in the sense that there is a lot to do and you can pretty much do as you please. Most of the time people just run off by themself and do try to be Rambo, while the rest of the team tries to whore vehicles.

I'm not too excited about 2142...the whole 'apocalpytic future shooter' was already done by Tribes, IMO. The new gameplay modes may redeem it, but I'm skeptical.

As an aside: who loved BF:V? Nothing's more fun than racking up the kills with napalm overflights of enemy airfields in the F4. Plane campers beware! :evil:

I'm not too excited about 2142...the whole 'apocalpytic future shooter' was already done by Tribes, IMO. The new gameplay modes may redeem it, but I'm skeptical.

Another rare BF:V fan here. After they fixed the problem with the n00b cannon (m60 was insane at first), it became a great game except for the ridiculous durability of choppers. I was furious when they nerfed the SA:7. I used to spend entire rounds just playing VC so I could keep the skies free of chopper pilot spawn campers.

But my downfall was that I got so good with the grenade launcher as a U.S. player that I would get banned from servers cause players thought I hacked. I dont know why I could, but I could take choppers and tanks down with that thing by firing and relocating constantly. and I could hold flag positions by myself if I had an ammo box nearby.

Great game though. I miss the anti-personnel arms/trap kits. BF2 doesnt have enough.
 
Just watched the whole video for like the 3rd time. Still funny. I may have to start playing again. Thanks for the reminder,

CS = Simplistic, Out click other player. (I played since 1.0 A LOT so I know)
BF2, UT2004 = Skills, strategy, a lot more team work required FPS

I love BF:V, but that is because I like to blast music out of the jeeps while I run over people.
 
CS is a fun game. BF2 is a fun game, but I don't really like the shooting part of it. It feels so different from other FPSes. But it is a fun game, the tanks and planes and all the random ****** you can do is awesome.
 
i've never played any of the bf series. Is there single player or is it online only?

wow that vid made me want to go out and buy this game..

time to look at the fs/t section lol

hahaha, nice.

You can do that to an extent in BF2 if you're a commander, and start lobbing CARtillery on unsuspecting enemy commanders and snipers. It takes a wellplaced drop to take out planes, helis, and tanks though, lol.

There is a single player... but it's really just meant to learn how the game is played.

It puts a great stress on your computer to act as the server and the client while playing the game.

I was playing on a server yesterday and the enemy commander was dropping vans on our artillery. As long as it lands right on it, it blows it up instantly. It sucked. Just as soon as two of us engineers would finish repairing one, he'd have another van to drop on the other. Grrrrr.
