Battlefield 2 Hardware Audio Problems?

When I set the sound on BF2 to Hardware, eith or without EAX support, the sound is fine.. until the voices. Anytime someone gives a verbal command the sound comes out very jittery and almost slow-motion. Like a record if someone kept tapping it to stop it to a beat almost.

This only happens when I set the audio to hardware, which I did to free up CPU processes for the game itself. Anyone else experiencing any issues such as this?

Software works fine. Wish BF2 had better online support.
 
Anyone found a resolution to this? I'd really like to find a resolution that lets me turn the voices back on when playing.

And no, it's not a driver issue.. in true Creative style the only driver ever released for my card was the one on the CD it came with, it is impossible to find any updates online or even the original driver online.
 
I get the same problem with BF1942 demo. I can hear my gunshots but nothing else. It used to work fine but not anymore. I disable the hardware acceleration and everything is fine.
 
Well, I forgot to mention, I am using the onboard Creative SB Live 7.1 that came with the MSI K8n neo4 plat. SLI. But I assume Windows recognizes it as the same card as yours, Izusaga.
 
this happemed to me and is happening again in bf2 Demo and counter strike source mine is my nForce 2 MOBO I need to load newer adio drivers.
