Battlefield 2 for next lan party, need map/mod suggestions.

Hey everyone. Our lan party crew hasn't had one in quite a while, and the big Battlefield fan in the group decided to host a BF2 party. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the series, since I played 1942 to death when it came out... But I wanted to join in the carnage for a night, so I bought BF2.

Anyway, in order to make sure I have a good time the whole night, I'd like to show up with a variety of maps and/or mods to share with the group if we get bored with the stock maps.

So, are there any "must have" maps or mods for BF2 that I can download from the net? I'm not talking about the couple that are in stores, I mean user-created stuff.

I don't really play BF2 much so I can't recommend any specific ones, though.

We usually just get the latest patch and latest standalone server and play with though. I'm sure there are additional maps and mods though.

SEASIDE RACEWAY. Google it. The map is FUN AS HECK if you get like 8+ people to play. A fun thing we did was that we had like 6 guys on one team racing, and 3 enemies planted somewhere around the track ready to ambush us. Another fun thing to do is drive boats full of ATs, and try to shoot each other down.

(it only shows us doin some crazy racing, but there's alot of other fun, creative things you can do)

If you have a good amount of pilots there, there's an "aerial combat" map pack. It has plenty of good maps for just flying around, with tons of jets.
