I can run this at the max game resoltuion and 4x AA without any problems. I don't think you'll run into any issues.

I've got the same exact card, XFX 6600gt 128mb. Runs Battlefield 2 great on medium settings. Will lag on high settings though. But everything you listed looks good to me. I'm running it on an AMD XP 2700 with 1gb of ram and it's plenty quick.

it should be fine for at least 1024.
my 6800GT @ Ultra runs BF2 great at 1280x960 with no slowdowns, the only problem is the beginning of the map still loading chops up for 5-10 seconds (due to only having 1GB of RAM)

Did you try the 1.02 patch? No more lags for me with 1G of RAM.

I did try 1.02.. to be honest I haven't noticed any less lag, I'll have to take note next time I play.. I've only had it installed a couple days, so I probably just didn't notice.. haha

6600gt is better than 9800pro. also this game is supported by nvidia see that icon that pops up when you start bf2 there is a big hint.

TWIMTBP rarely has any bearing on the preferred video card, it's an Ad that Nvidia pays for.

It's true, but in this case, nV cards run BF2 better than the equivalent ATI, so at least he's right that the 6600GT will be better than the 9800. (not that the 6600GT isn't already a little faster than the 9800, but you get where I am going with this...)
