I got it last night. Its not too bad. Clumsy pre game interface though. I set all my controls, and some how it didn't save them.

my thoughts:

it was pretty sweet... but i have a few problems.
1) there was a lot of graphical glitches in the menu (it made it really hard to use the menu most of the time)
2) my teammates ai was crappy (while sometimes they would go in tanks and attack, most of my team - 2/3 of them would stay at the base and do nothing)
3) not enough vehicles! there was only 2 tanks (i think, maybe less) for each side. no planes, no ships. nothing more.
4) it was a very big map, but there was limited scenery (although it was desert). it was just the outposts and barriers, and that was it. i expect a little more stuff to hide behind!
5) only ONE map?! i waited 40 minutes to downoad, 15-20 minutes to unpack and set up, and all i get is one lousy desert map with no multiplayer and only instant battle? come on... i cant really get a feel for the game from this...

aside from that, it was cool. it was easy to go in and out of vehicles, and it was easy to steer and shoot using the tanks. also, graphics were pretty good, i had settings on max and there were no slowdowns.

Yeah it seems like it has great potential but they should have waited loner to release a better demo with more stuff and not quite a glitchy yet.

It's not truely a demo, it's a level from the beta. It even says beta on some of the screens. The MP Demo is expected next month. From what I've played it kicks ass. Super simple and easy to get into. Kinda like tribes but in WWII. Graphics are pretty good, but the draw distance could be better. 1600x1200 with everything maxed and I push about 40-50 outside running around.

There are some obvious things that need to be fixed. Less tanks (need more people running around), and there are problems with ammo. I think the scout is supposed to have 3 extra clips, not just 3 extra bullets. Who the hell goes into combat with 8 rounds?

If they can get this to work with 64 players it's going to r0xor my b0x0rz.

As a scout I do get 3 extra clips...it doesn't reload until you run through the clip.

I really like the game! How the hell do you recapture an outpost though??

This game gets better and better as I go. You can refill your ammo at the ammo cases and get health from the medical cabinets in buildings.

The artillery kicks major butt!

I am SOOOOO in love with this game... and I've only played the bare bones of it The engine is really well done. There is supposed to be a multiplayer level (Wake ) released pretty soon (or at least before the game is fully released) and I so cannot wait. I'm going to have much fun playing the full version when it comes out in the months to come
