yeah I don't think they care now (some of them even visit AT every once in a while) but when the server starts to fill up and people can't get in and they find out another forum is getting in, they may want to limit it to only their people. Maybe not. I was just thinking play it safe for the future

I've got a GF3Ti200 and man I could do a lot better. At first I realized it was because I had AA on (DOH!) but even still I get some slowdown in the big battles..... maybe I'll ask for a new card for Xmas because I can see this game keeping me happy for a loooong time. Just like CS did
Replacing my AIW Radeon 32 with a GF4 Ti4200/64 from Gainward. Picked the 4200/64 based on the video card shootout that Anand did with UT2k3. It looked like the best price/performance at the moment. Should easily handle everything from now until my next upgrade sometime next Spring or more likely Summer.

My wife got if for me last night. She surprised me by having it next to my computer when I got home from work. She's so cool.
I tried playing on a couple of servers with >32 players and my success was intermittant. I expect it to get better as more systems are tweaked.

Seeing as we need an "AT" server still, I'm willing to split the name between my website and AT for the name
The server's specs are 2.4GHz (533FSB) P4 w/ 512MB DDR, 40GB ATA100. It's a Dell Dim 2500. It's running off 4 T1s .. it's up almost every night after ~7PM CST, but not before 7 since it's being used and always on during the weekends.

Right now it's just demo, but I just got the game (retail) so it will be switched over to retail tonight most likely I'll be testing 40-64 maxplayers. I know the 2.4GHz P4 can take it, not sure about the T1s.

And my wonderful story about buying the game.

Give feedback if you'd like via PM As I stated before, lag might be bad if it's during peak hours. Later in the night pings will get much, much better. The server is located near Chicago, IL. If you live farther away (west coast) your ping might be higher.
Let me know if you want me to reduce/increase the play count or change any of the server's settings. I will take all of your opinions into consideration.

Kind of surprised that the game wasn't more than it was. Most games of late are in the $60 range when they come out. WC3, Neverwinter Nights, etc... This one was at $45. But hey, I'm cool with that.

I made some important edits to my post (above) and this is important too:
Basically in regards to lag during peak hours, as well as routing.
Weekdays it will usually be up starting around 7-8PM CST until the next morning.
Weekends, Friday 7PM CST through Monday morning it will be up the whole time, unless if it crashes or something.
Unless if for some reason I'm not allowed to host it anymore, it should be up for quite some time...

I have tried joining the servers out there but no one is playing.
The main Ars server is down. The older Ars server has no one on it. And the ATOT server is empty too.
