Seriously, you shoot someone with a .50 in real life and almost every shot is a kill shot. In BF4 you have to hit someone three times in the chest before they go down. In reality their organs would be mush, even with a ballistic plate vest that could (maybe) take a hit from a .50

The lesson for the run-n-gunners is don't stand still and admire the scenery because I'm out there waiting to shoot you. Also, I prefer the SRR-61 over the .50 as I do better at headshots with it. 😀

More like put them in their place unless you have a sniper fetish where you think because snipers are elite troops, they should be more powerful on the battlefield.

FWIW the 7.62mm I'm putting down range is deadly as well and you're not going to be making any perfectly aimed shots after you've been hit. I always love the "sniper rounds should kill in 1 hit!" arguments. So should most rifle rounds. I'd love to see them buff all rounds to real lethality. Snipers would be whining non-stop.

No, I'm just saying that the .50 is far more lethal in reality than it is in BF4.

And as was pointed out to me in an email the .50 in BF4 is indeed much more realistically lethal if you play Hardcore. So is everything else.
 
Pretty sure there is no .50 in BF4. Just saying. I thought it was .338 lapua for the M98 and .408 for the SRR. There might be a .50 "pickup" weapon on some maps but not sure.

He seems like a dope to me. There are many, many games that portray real wars and battles. In much more graphic ways. I used to like the old quotes from early Call of Duty's. Nobody is alive from WWI anymore. The opposite of his way of thinking, I played BF4 because it reminded me of being deployed and war. Sounds silly but as much as war sucks ass, myself and lots of others miss it. So playing it reminds me of it a lot, lots of it is realistic. Sure, a lot isnt either. Even if its hard when I've lost friends. Today is the 4 year anniversary of a friend I lost, got the date on my left bicep. But today I will have a few drinks and play the game because it makes me feel closer to him as dumb as that sounds. Sounds like an agenda driven article to me.

Also, fuck snipers!

I'm still not sure. I like the look, I like the weird weapons old & new. I do fear it will be a run around like a spaz and shoot everywhere fest like Star Wars Battlefront.

I would assume it's Battlefield proper with more wide open spaces and more vehicle combat. The new Battlefront doesn't have any of that.
 
They didn't hav defibs in WWI. I wonder if they will have something like an adrenaline shot or cpr. Or will you just die, run 2 miles, then die again and run 2 miles, rinse and repeat?
