Mortars are terrible, just like they've been in every BF game they've appeared in. Completely agree... personally I don't think they should be so pinpoint accurate. Build in more variation on the trajectory path. Or just remove the stupid birds eye camera view... I don't think you should be rewarded with such a broad view of the surrounding area to setup your next shot.

The one good aspect of mortars though is that they discourage you from sitting around, camping an area because a mortar will definitely land on your head... so there's that. Mortars seem like a bigger problem to me on the Operations maps where you know the direction the enemy is coming from. If you're frequently trying to mortar on Argonne Forest Conquest 64-players you won't last long. :)

What's the deal with the "moved squad to x team based on skill"?
Is it putting all the crappy players on 1 side? What determines this?

Love mortars. Finally figured out how to use them properly and the air burst just destroys groups bunched together. I'm not feeling remotely bad considering how often I get sniped from across the map or shotgunned point blank.

Now I need to manage 5 kills in a single life to finish my medal -- of it doesn't randomly switch on me and become unavailable. Probably going to have to mortar because I stink with a scoped machine gun.

That elite class with the machine gun with double magazines is ridiculous (dont remember the name). I haven't been that impressed with any of the others, flame trooper is decent though.

FOUR! I hate you four. Four.

I need 5 kills in one life for my stupid medal. I got 4 a bunch of times then always got nailed before number 5. On the bright side, I now have the 200 round capacity machine gun but it jams a lot if the trigger's held down.

Yup I do like that class when I can get it. I killed it in a light tank last night in conquest. I had 15 kills just from using the tank to go through different checkpoints within the first 10 minutes. It was probably good that my team also stuck along my tank whenever I drove somewhere. It is true that most people don't go after the tanks. Only reason I got killed was due to the bombers.

I rack up more mortar kills there than anywhere else. Good cover and fixed paths for the enemy make it very predictable.

Sounds like you need a medic to keep you up to get that last kill.

I keep playing this and it just doesn't quite click for me. It's not quite *fun*, but it's entertaining enough for me to keep trying. I don't know, it just feels hollow somehow.

Have you tried the campaign? Or operations? After some time all mp games feel pretty empty because you end up playing the same time of matches.

It is hollow, but I need to level my "characters"... I wouldn't be remotely as interested without the reward system. I is sad.

I think the general linear capture order of control points in the game, has led to a lack of dynamicism. Too much contestment happens in the same places, so effectively different rounds feel the same.

I haven't had the time to play unfortunately , but when I did, it was DXhung bug, frustrating learning curve with the new guns and sensitivity settings, and the crap POV's on the tanks to put me off. It's a different game than BF4 for sure, but I like it for what it is right now. I just have to be patient with it working out the bugs and learning the new mechanics

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!. I got my stupid Order of St. Christopher after a stupid day. All luck after I ditched the scope on my machine gun and went with AA sights.

This pointless electronic award that I won't remember in a week makes me feel good. For now.

Edit: And I swear, that piece of crap is bugged. It wasn't recognizing my mortar kills. Or that was the plan and it didn't say so anywhere.

I haven't crashed a single time to DXhung since I disabled DX12. Not sure what you're using.

Man this game severely lacks documentation. I got the train driver seat yesterday and drove the train back and forth on the tracks. Afterwards my friends told you you gain access to the big gun by pressing 2. Wasted a chance to get the 5 kills I needed on my medic.

Another lack of documentation issue: I'm not sure if kills in a vehicle count towards non-driver/pilot classes. Look under the "Soldier" tab and there's a separate class for drivers...

The medal system ticks me off. I hate that you have to do the requirements in order, and that you get no credit for doing things you need later along the way.

The squad assist one was the worst for me so far it, good grief squad mates help a brother out, would ya? Oh and the 5 kills in one life with a pistol was a peach too. It was like someone said earlier; 3 kills die, 4 kills die, 3 kills die..... wash, rinse, and repeat. UGH!!

Nice. Some guy was going 90-5(ish) two matches in a row with an AA-sight machine gun -- or is that the symbol for a headshot in the kill log? Points were nowhere close between either team. In over a dozen matches, never had points like that or seen a kill ratio that high. When it looks/feels like an aimbot...

Edit: I think someone called him out on it. Bla bla bla, obviously not cheating, you're just jealous/suck.

90-5 with a gun, no vehicle, in Battlefield is just insane/unheard of so yea probably a hack. You used to be able to easily do that if you were a good chopper flyer but obviously none of that in this game.
