Battle of the sequels

In 2002 and 2003, we will see the dawning of Star Wars Episode 2 (a sort of sequel to episode one), Matrix Reloaded (sequel to one of the greatest movies of the past decade), Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers, and the second Harry Potter movie, whatever it is called. Out of all of these, which one do you think will be the best (either in terms of money grossed, special effects, or just sheer enjoyability).

My money is on the Two Towers. 🙂

Oh, why do we have to choose? They'll all be fantastic in their own way (well, except for Harry Potter, which sucks ass in every way).

I say Star Wars: Episode 2....

Since Ep1 was quite disappointing, they have more pressure to make it much better in the sequel...

I'd like to say Star Wars just because I'm a big Star Wars fan, but somehow I think Lucas screws it up and The Two Towers ends up being better, if The Fellowship of the Ring is any indication of what's to come for that trilogy.

I think they will do the Matrix sequel wrong, I dont like Star Wars, Hated LOTR, Not a harry potter fan. Damn looks like this sucks for me.

You must live a sad, sad life... 😉

i'm a fan of LOTR, Matrix , and Star wars so those 3 i can't decide between, they will all hopefully be good, harry potter is just to "kiddy" for me.

Yeah, IMO Harry Potter is just a marketing gimmick attached to a moderately successful series of children's books. Nothing really impressive is going on there. The Matrix Reloaded seems like it has a lot of potential though, and after seeing the trailer for the Two Towers, I don't think theres any way it can really go wrong for me. As for Episode 2, I have mixed feelings, which I will get a little more clear on next week when I see it.

Star Wars: Episode 2
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Men In Black II
Matrix - Reload
LOTR - Two Towers

I will see them all, but this is how I think they will finish dollar wise.

<< What about terminator 3? >>

Next summer.

He said 2002 and 2003... Matrix Reload isn't coming out this year...

But I guess he's talking about #2's of a series...

<< Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets >>

Is that one going to be about Harry's days as a Catholic Alter Boy?

Money Grossed: Star Wars Episode 2 / Harry Potter 2
Special Effects: Matrix 2 / LOTR 2 / Star Wars 2
Enjoyability: LOTR 2 / Matrix 2 / Star Wars 2 (god i hope so...)

I think the second Matrix will do the best in terms of money grossed, but I'm hoping that Star Wars will be able to surpass all 😀

Hmm...I'm a big LOTR, Matrix, and Star Wars fan. I dunno about Episode II, it better not be all fvcked up like episode 1. I'm going to have to go with the Two Towers, Matrix Reloaded, and Episode II.
