Battle of the Japanese wagons. FIGHT!!!

Subaru of course. It's engine totally r@pes the 6's puny Duratec. It also looks better and had a nicer interior.

Looks - Have to give the nod to the mazda
Saftey - Subaru
Performance - with the turbo (and even the H6) the subaru will stomp the mazda
Cost - yet to be determined
Interior - just basing things off of pics of the subaru and seeing the 6 in person, I have to say Subaru wins
Reliability - Subaru
Resale - Subaru
Good condition handling - mazda will probably be more fun to drive
poor condition handling - AWD subaru any day
Ergonomics/comfort - yet to be determined

On paper, I'd have to say subaru me ASAP 🙂

But at the end of the day, you are still driving Mom's stationwagon.

Ah yes, but it's so much easier to load up a keg and a dead hooker into the back end of a station wagon than it is into a pickup truck or SUV.

I want a station wagon as well... it's really the ultimate car. Handles like a car (of course), and you also get a lot of storage space for gear. Plus the roof rack is infinitely more accessible than the roof rack of a standard SUV (closer to ground).

I think Honda should bring back the Accord wagon myself... I think it would be a BIG seller. I would buy one (and no, I'm not an old man. 29 and single !! 😉 )

The only thing I really don't like about the Subie is the "blacked out" pillar treatment. I don't love hood scoops either, but at least when it's there it's functional.
As far as the 6, the taillights don't do it for me.

Overall, though, both look very nice IMO.

Overall styling, the Mazda looks better, but I really like the front end of the Legacy as with everything else about the car. I'm 22 and single as well and I'd love to have a wagon. Been driving SUV's ever since I received my license, can't wait to move on to a wagon or car.

Don't get me wrong, both of the wagons are very sharp looking cars, I just think the mazda is a bit more...sleek. Better lines. I dunno. The Scoob is sharp looking, but doesn't have as good looking of a profile or front end as the mazda. The mazda needs to dump the clear tail lamps though. Bleck!
