And to the OP, like what most people said, the each have their pros and cons. I don't think this generation has a specific winner unlike some of the previous generations.

Depends on what games you play. Anything DX orientated, ATI = win, openGL = nVidia win.

Meaning: HL2 = ATI, Doom3 = nvidia.

I've not had an ounce of problems from from my GF2mx, GF2gts, GF4Ti4400 and 4600, my fx5700, fx5200 or my 6800 Ultra. But my ATI 9800XT on the other hand has to use the omega drivers or it dicks up roally, especially on call of duty.

That wasn't meant to say that his first one way bad, just meant that it ended up with a lot of comments like BAN!. I think it was a good first post.

My first comment tried to explain nicely that any "which is better, nvidia or ati" is not going to give him any information he needs. I told him what he should include to get some useful input and he chose not to do it.

That's true, but if you're looking for the 5fps advantage, go with the brand that best suits it.

Get GPU commander 1.1 and put a X850XT in one PCI-E slot and a 6800UEX in another. Pick the best GPU for the job.
