No more expensive canned air? More expensive alkaline batteries?

You can recharge batteries, but you can't recharge canned air. Besides, who doesn't own a digicam with rechargable batteries these days.

well i ordered it and hey its not much money to lose so y not give it a shot but im going to try my rechargable energizers when it gets herem then maybe it might be cost efficient

Says who?...Just use your bike pump

Damn, you learn something new everything. I wonder if the ReAir is as powerful as regular canned air though.

At least it's really "air", and safe to breath. There's a reason those "cans 'o air" tell you to use them in well-ventilated areas only. The most recent one I looked at, was made from "diflouroethane". Obviously, some company is getting rich by packaging up industrial waste gasses into compressed metal cannisters and selling them at retail. But they're not really "air".

i would assume nicad rechargables would be better for this device than nimh since nicad can sustain at a higher voltage.

If you want something cheap that will do a better job than this dust blower from Office Max,
try a HAIR DRYER. You'll be done cleaning the inside of your computer in a matter of seconds.
It's better than compressed air.

I don't know what kinda hair dryer you use, but it won't compare to my 150psi air compressor, guaranteed, I can blow the caps and resistors right off the board 🙂

if I use the air compressor, I do it outside which is way too much hassle so I just use the vacuum with the brush attachment and nozzle, and then it sucks up the dust so I dont have to do it again in ten minutes when it settles.

ww damn its a pos, well but for the price i guess its worth it, i thought that it would be able to atleast blow SOME dust away but when i blow, i put out more pressure than this thing, well time to give to the girlfriend so she can find some way to use it.......🙂

Has anyone tried to Overclock this thing ???

I mean, if it's made to run on 3 volts, has anyone tried 6 volts, or 12 volts, 24 volts maybe ?

Heck, why not 120 volts, or 220 volts ?? ( just kidding, don't try it, you'll Zap yourself ).

Me I use my air compressor, that I keep in my basement during the winter, just have to be careful, with all that power.

Considering it's original purpose was to clean your keyboard, it's not too bad. I've tried it for cleaning out loose dust inside the case and it's ok, but for caked on dust with all the moist air trapped in your computer, it's not the best.

🙂

Just make sure it's a diaphram type compressor, or one with really good filters. You don't want piston oil all over your electronics.

just got mine today. not that impressed, but it was what i expected. $6 shipped wasn't that bad.

If you put some freshly recharged batteries in there you might be impressed. Rechargeables deliver more power than alkalines.
The "hevy duty" batteries that come with the blower are worthless. At least drop some alkalines in there before you give up on it.

What was his reponse as to why the shipping costs as much as the item? (don't have EBAY accnt to read the rest of his comment).

Good Lord, he wrote a novel:

Q: why is the shipping so high??? Answered on Jan-03-05
A: Hum? By the time I wrap to protect, box, label, arrainge shipping and so on, I (myself) do not think $8.75 is a whole lot of money to do this, let alone the shipping co's cut. I will probably make $1.00 for my time, but I will loose out due to the products used to ship and the shipping co's price. Trust me, I am not making money, they are. And even the product is priced low. I wish I was making a lot of money, but that is not how it is. I live as far as possible on the East Coast and 75% of my items go to the West coast, so I usually loose out, but at least I am Honest and give you a price up front, unlike the dishonest e-bayers who sell you an item and once you win, get hit with a huge s/h charge. I truly am sorry if you think I am being unfair, but I am probably one of the most Honest e-Bayers out there. Thanks for asking though. I hope you reconsider. I prepack to save time and once the item is paid, say PayPal (who get's another 3%), I ship the very next day. Sincerely, James

What do you mean?
He said himself, he's "probably one of the most Honest e-Bayers out there"........ sure.
