Battery for laptop: New or Refurbished?

I am looking to get a new battery for my Inspiron 8000 laptop. On Dell's website there are 2 different batteries, a new one ane a refurbished one. Has anyone bought a refurbished battery from Dell. If so, how long did it last? I would normally go for the new battery but the refurbished one is about 1/3 the cost of a new one.
 
I've had experience with a Dell 5000 refurb battery and was relatively pleased with its performance. I have to admit though I didn't have the laptop long enough to see how the life of the battery was, but operating times between it and a new battery were comparable. Considering in your case the battery is 1/3 the cost, I'd go with the refurb since you can replace that thing 3 times for the cost of a new one.
 
Cool, I was hoping that someone had purchased one so I could get a first hand account. It looks like that I will be getting a refurbed battery then. Thanks a lot!🙂
