Battery back up $19

Dang it, I just bought a cheapie 350VA APC from best buy for $39.99 yesterday! 🙁 I guess I will try to return it and get this one. Does anyone know if Best Buy's "Geek Squad" is a reliable brand?

They changed it:

Despite ensuring that your power supply remains uninterrupted, this device is not responsible for relentless yammering carried out by annoying humans.

Despite their lame quotes, I wouldn't buy this thing anyways. I've used their bundled software on a guy's machine once and it's HORRIBLE! IIRC, it used Internet Explorer someway and it wasn't very accuate.

Besides, I hate Best Buy - I wouldn't buy anything with the Geek Squad name on it.

I hate stuff based on IE

its like they can't afford to code their own window box

does anybody know i tried looking on the site and i couldn't find where it states how much up time it offers such as 16 minutes or 60 minutes. If anybody knows it would be appreciated. I don't need anything great just something to keep my desktop up and running for a couple of minutes whenever a breaker gets tripped.

Would this be good to hook up my home theater stuff to? I refuse to buy a monster power cleaner or whatever.

When you can't get rid of snow on your tv, buy a monster power cleaner; we finally bought one, after we checked wiring, filtering, grouding ...... It is pricy, but works.
