Batteries got exposed to water, still good ?

I put most of my batteries (AAA, D, AA, C) in a carton box.
somehow the water pipe leaked and the water seep through the carton.
the batteries itself is not submerged under water, just a little wet.
I dried them up with paper towel.
are they still good ?
please say yes, they cost arm and leg these days 🙁
should I bake them in the sun ??

Since water is conductive, if they were actually submergered to the point where the two contacts could have meet, they may have died, but yeah I would say just try them.
