About all the details is a trailer and available in 2014. Rocksteady is back developing this instead of WB Montreal who did Batman AO

Dang I really need to pick up the slack. I've bought AC and AO but have only played part way through AC. AA I completed at 100% though.

Yep, this will be pretty much an instant by for me, seeing as i loved the previous ones(AA.AC got on steam sale) AO got with vid card

Thomas Wayne's little speech reminds me way too much of Superman and his father.

Did anyone else think that if Batman missed that final jump he would have looked really silly?

According to IGN, Batman Arkham Knight might be a next gen title only! :awe:

I really hope it is, and that it's going to be using a next gen engine like Unreal Engine 4..

Unreal Engine 3 is just too old for cutting edge games to use anymore, no matter how "modified" it is..

Tons of info here.

Next gen only? Still PC though I really hope?

Arkham City I played and finished on PS3. Currently playing Arkham Origins on PC with the 770 and it's amazing looking by comparison. I know people insult AO for not being original, but since AC was great and a while ago, I'm really enjoying AO. I got 70% way through AC before I lost my save game........

This new one if on PC looks awesome.

Interested in seeing how the batmobile is implemented. I'd bet it's an isolated on-rails segment of the game. They can't having players murdering folks in an open world with the batmobile, after all.

Does this mean they were making this game the whole time the other studio was making Origins? Mmmm hopefully this will mean quick price drops and flash sales for Origins.

PC is always next gen. hail master race.

According to that article I posted above, Batman Arkham Knight will use a highly modified "juiced up" Unreal Engine 3.5..

I was hoping for Unreal Engine 4 or something, but I don't think Rocksteady would use their intended engine if they didn't think it could deliver the goods..

Looks like they are focusing on detail in this game as well, according to "Albert Feliu, lead character artist, says the polygon count on one character in Arkham Knight is as big as the count of the whole Arkham Asylum environment."

I'm sure PhysX will be a major component as well 😎

I believe that's true. I seem to remember comments from the powers that be in lead up to AO that made me believe just that.

Especially so if Conroy is on board for this one. He was quoted prior to AO as saying we was doing a batman game and some one came and whispered in his ear and he backtracked saying not 'this' game (referring to AO).

There was a bit of belief that RS needed more time to finish their game so they were able to send what was required to the other studio to make (essentially) a mod of AC to be a year or so before RS's was ready to 'fill the gap' and keep the title in the eyes of the public.

I thought they were just trying to follow CoD's path to success by switching devs so they could pump out more games faster.

I loved the first two games, played through them a few times each, but the gameplay is getting old at this point. I barely played a third of Origins, because it felt like the same exact game as City.

Unless the new game is radically different, won't be picking it up until it's $5.

You know if Origin had MP this will too. Devs almost never go backwards in that regard.

They said, according to the link Carfax posted, there will be no multiplayer
There is no multiplayer in Arkham Knight. Rocksteady is focused on "making the best single-player experience it can" and doesn't feel it needs multiplayer.

Will have batmobile sequences, how it play out is unknown at the moment

Screenshots. You can definitely get a sense of the vastly increased visual fidelity and scale. I wonder if it will be 64 bit? It should be, since it's next gen only..

Looking forward to this. I skipped Batman Arkham Origins, is that going to be an issue for storyline continuity..?
