Would I have to install DX9 too? I'll admit I've been out of the picture for awhile as far as PC Gaming is concerned. However, I've had no such trouble w/ SC2, Rift, EQ2, WoW, etc. Just - this - one.

No, DX will install or update with the game and I know that for a fact. Plus if other games work then its installed. Display drivers are released to fix game issues though, so make sure those are up to date. A GTX570 is a good card, so you'll be looking at running DX10, or even DX11 in the games that support it. DX9 is quite dated and new games of the past few years use 10 and many are including DX11 features as well.

Rather than regurgitate everything, I'll just post this link:

http://techgage.com/news/amd_vs_nvidia_anti-aliasing_in_batman_arkham_asylum/

... and add that I'm running a Radeon 6950.

Game of the Year edition can use antialiasing on AMD hardware. I can pull up the game's settings right now and switch it to "8x antialiasing".

So it's not a matter of whether the game will have AA at all; the question is will Nvidia pull the same crap that they did with Asylum upon initial release.

Not sure what was up than. I had the latest nVidia driver from a clean install. Everything worked great. I installed SC2 and fired that up & played a round. Everything was fine.

Put the install disk in for Batman, clicked 'Run as Admin' for the setup.exe, and watched the install run off. Rebooted, and it wouldn't even start. Ah well.
