I wasn't paying attention, so I knocked off a part of the soap holder while cleaning the bathroom. Here are some pictuers:

What can I use to patch this up?

I actually need to attach the handle bar back, so I'm thinking maybe I need some sort of super glue? Or maybe something else that I can get at Home Depot?

Thanks!

It expands, which probably means the seam will be very visible.

Ordinary super glue should work. Personally, I'd seal around the seam with transparent silicone caulk.

Are those actually handle bars? They seem to fragile and...useless to be.

Hmm... I just realized that clamping time is around an hour. I guess I need to find a clamping device that can hold it in place for that long. I'm not planning on sitting there to do it.

They look like handle bars. At least, I've used them as such at times.

As long as you haven't showered too much since you broke it (which will cause soap scum to coat the area where it broke and make the glue not stick), any epoxy based cement should hold it just fine. It's porous and irregularly shaped (not smooth surfaced), and that will help the glue to hold better.

There's some good 5 minute epoxy cements out there. If the tile above and below is clean of soap scum, good old fashioned duct tape will work well enough for a clamp. ;)

Fixed!

Hopefully, that'll do it. I used Amazing Goop instead. I can still see the cracks, so I'll probably touch it up later on.

Try some caulk. Say it out loud, caulk. That soap holder needs a good layer of caulk on it.

Caulk.

damnit, I was going to say that but didn't want to sound retarded.

A nice 2 part epoxy should hold that very well.

That being said, I don't think it's to be used as a handle bar. Looks more like a bar for holding a wash cloth.

Score around the soap holder to remove the old soap holder, then thinset a new holder in place, grout the grouve & seal. GF, call you a handyman hero, profit.

As far as I know, the soap dish with a bar aren't made anymore. If used as a grab bar they always fail. There was a lawsuit, you know the rest.

As far as I have ever known, that isn't a handle, it is made for hanging a wash cloth over. I highly doubt it was meant for any weight.
