Just an FYI, these are steel toed safety boots, not winter boots.
 
I would love to get these but unless I can find a place that has them to make sure I get the right size, I would hate to order the wrong size and have to pay the $8 or more dollars to get a exchange for the right one.

What's the real difference (sorry to sound dumb but I just bought a pair of steel-toed boots elsewhere for winter as well)?

Unless you're wearing some thick socks, steel toe boots in winter will make your toes cold.

La Police gear hit rock bottom with the likes of buy.com on this deal.

I ordered about $100 of stuff and used the "freeshipping coupon." Unfortunately, they did not contact me to tell me my order was canceled. They just canceled it and released the inventory back for sale. One item on my list sold out by the time I checked on my order to find it canceled.

I phoned them and they said their policy is to cancel any orders with problems first thing in the morning, then try to contact the customers later for corrections. I don't care if they are giving away products, I will never order from them again. In fact, perhaps I will order dozens of free catalogs for all the businesses and people that I can find in the white pages. I bet that would cost them well over the $10 in shipping they were so concerned about.

Last year I spent over $5,000 on firearm accessories and tactical gear. Based on this experience, none of my future spending will ever be at LA Police gear.

Their Web address was linked in the OP. When anyone clicks to follow the link, the HTTP Referer request header will transmit to their Web server the URL of this page.

It was not a professional response on their part though.
 
So is the "military" coupon code legit, or is this guy gonna go AWOL on me for using it?

Also do these sizes run true or do you need to order 1/2 size larger than a typical sneaker/running shoe?
