I have tons of photographs (jpeg) in 3 different folders. I wanted to know if there's an open-source software for batch renaming the jpeg files?

Thanks, Thanks Thanks! Gotta love IrfanView... I knew it does Batch resizing but I tried Batch Renaming now and it worked flawlessly. Awesome! 🙂
 
the file renamer i've been using (for any extensions) since 2007 is Metamorphose.
it's free. XnView, (IrfanView competitior) also does batch renaming, resizing and conversions.
 
You can also do it within FastStone Image Viewer. Some serious batch capability with FSIV. I like it better than Irfanview.
