A theatre 'room' is a lot different than someone building a theatre like this one.

I'm not sure what you mean, unless you're just making the point that this "batcave theater" is very well done and expensive.
Assuming it's part of a house, I still would think it falls under the category of "theater room". I wouldn't use the phrase "home theater", because that includes just about anything with a screen and a speaker.

You don't understand. When your wife lets you take up a whole room in the house and spend thousands of dollars on a theater, you damn well better think about WAF. And you also better think about how to make HER as happy as she just made YOU.
I speak with experience on this one. Having a theater room is absolutely awesome, and there are a lot of other things that could be done with the money. So WAF is critical.

With a billion dollars+ I bet anyone would want to marry you. That is when you have to filter out the super models to find one that is not crazy and kill you.

Awesome but man would this be expensive - cost of installation + reduction in home value = ouch
as long as got decent acoustics, I doubt that reduces the home value, as many people are gonna find it 'cool', and others are just gonna love the fact that its a home theater. Then there will be people who just don't care and tear down the room (assuming the equipment is taken) and make a new room. So for those later folk, yes, the value was reduced, but I think people who would also use it as a home theater might be indifferent, while some might hate the cave theme for aesthetic reasons.
Anyone with a wife will be less interested that if it was a more "traditional" theater. WAF is low on the bat cave concept...

i like the titanic theater. hate the movie, but that one is class. the rest of them are just trashy.
what's the deal with that first star trek set-up? is it an ultra wide-angle lens used for the pic, or is that really a 50" screen in a 20'+ room? what a moran.....

Ja, titanic is the least hideous. lol @ nautilus owner:
"this beauty was built as a result of film geek randy moran?s love of the nautilus submarine from the film 20'000 leagues under the sea."
