Batshit crazy is easy when paired with republican agenda and some fundy christianity.

A Tennessee preacher men are claiming that the governor (who is republican) has authorized quarantine camps for the unvaccinated.

Locke continued to shout his sermon while vowing he would "die by what I say if I have to" and "fight this garbage until my dying breath."
And he probably will, on a ventilator in the near future. I may try to summon sympathy for him, but I won't be surprised if that particular well is dry.

as a far right wing, conspiracy talking nut job.

I wouldn't call Preachers crazy. They have a captive audience willing to give them money every week to talk about mythology. Snake-oil salesmen, more accurate.

Yep, just weeks ago he was in the news for demanding that his parishioners not wear masks to church, threatening to literally throw them out if they do. All because "democrats" think people should wear masks.

What do these assholes even have to do with religion anymore? Evangelical Christianity in America is a total sham.

The same thing they always did. Considering the numbers of evangelicals in this country, they are what "religion" is. I was brought up in an evangelical cult and most my extended family is still in it. Always hypocritical, always about money and hatred, we just get to hear more about it due to more news and social media.

Another mouth whore (makes his living with his mouth) was kicking people out of 'his' church because they didn't vote for Dumbya.

This is why I'm for tightening the rules on tax exempt status for churches. Currently, they are only not allowed to campaign for specific candidates. Though that example you posted seems to violate even that very soft rule.

The danger is not in how fucking stupid and full of hate he is, but that people actually listen to and follow him. Many of the despots of the world started with only a handful of followers.

Most of them are likely just grifters out to fleece people. Just look at "prosperity churches". A sucker born every minute.

Even the hateful Westboro baptist assholes were doing it for money. They'd wait for someone to assault them and sue. They were very good at it.

I might be scared of one of them that was truly living "like Jesus did"--poor and ragged. That would be a true believer capable of anything. Funny how they all seem to drive nice cars though, when they aren't on a jet. Just like the jan 6 y'all qaeda "revolution"... mostly a bunch of fat suburbanites that wouldn't sacrifice themselves or their jobs at the bank when it comes right down to it. You can bet if they were smart enough to think "hey I might be committing a crime here on camera" they'd have run home like rabbits.

It's pretty easy to explain why there are so many churches around without ever mentioning some higher power :)

They're Mammonites worshiping Mammon dressed up like Jesus. There's a reason they only give a shit about Acts and quote Paul while ignoring all of the stuff that Jesus said as reported by Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Wolves in sheep's clothing.

Hell yeah he's scared, not a lot of money in those remote services, and tithes in person might be difficult if you're stuck in a progressive communist FEMA camp.

Never heard of him before now but the guy sounds like another shameless, craven douchebag with a church, trying to get rich. If there's a ventilator in his future, well I guess I'll just have to learn to accept it.

They've been making these camps for decades now, if nothing else it's a staggering waste of public funds to not get some use out of them.
