I would like to create .bat file, or find a program that i can schedule to run a test for me.
Here is my problem. We have DSL at most of our stores, and i think that the connection at one of the locations is always going down. The DSL provider says he can't do anything unless i call him from the store at the moment it is down. Well since i can't sit there all day, and i usually don't work at that location it hasn't been resolved yet.
I would like a .bat file, or something else, that pings the IP of the DSL modem about once every minute. Then put the result into a text file.
ping xxx.xxx.xx.xxx at 07/15/05 9:15am - Average response: 11ms
ping xxx.xxx.xx.xxx at 07/15/05 9:16am - Average response: 13ms
ping xxx.xxx.xx.xxx at 07/15/05 9:17am - Average response: 09ms
ping xxx.xxx.xx.xxx at 07/15/05 9:18am - Average response: 15ms
ping xxx.xxx.xx.xxx at 07/15/05 9:19am - TIMED OUT
ping xxx.xxx.xx.xxx at 07/15/05 9:20am - TIMED OUT
ping xxx.xxx.xx.xxx at 07/15/05 9:21am - TIMED OUT
ping xxx.xxx.xx.xxx at 07/15/05 9:22am - Average response: 17ms
I don't even need to know how fast it is, just if it is responding or not.
Anyone have a idea how i could set that up, or is there a uptime log program that already exists?
Thank you,
