Went for lunch in Chinatown. By the time I got home two tires were almost flat.

Pin-point holes in each flat tire. :| Found them by pumping up the tires and listening for leaks. It had to be vandalism because the holes are on the SIDE of the tires.

Maybe it was the Honda ricers PO'd at my "Type R" sticker on my Toyota Prius. :camera:

Did the Pin-point holes give your additinoal 15 hp just like the "Type R" sticker?

That's what you get for making fun of Ricers..

Maybe they did it just because it was a Prius. It could have been the EDF (Earth Destruction Front).

Just as a joke... but maybe someone did take the joke the wrong way. Maybe it's time for a Type S sticker...

Do you remember hitting any pot holes? Running over a corner of those steel construction plates? Bad potholes and the corners of steel plates can easily damage sidewalls.

I'm not saying that it doesn't suck, because tires damaged on the sidewalls can't be reliably patched (and tire places generally won't bother trying), so you'll need to replace them. It just seems odd that bastages would poke your tires with a pin, rather than a good strong knife blade.

There are potholes around here, but I was only driving for about 10 minutes, and didn't hit any big ones. No steel construction plates either. And there are definitely pin point. I can't see the holes actually. I can just feel/hear the air coming out after I pump up the tires. And they're both on the sides.

Weird. I guess it sounds like vandalism, then. It could have been kids doing it though, since it wasn't a knife. Still sucks. :(

I guess I'm gonna have to get up early tomorrow, pump up the tires, quickly drive to the garage, and then take the bus to work. :|

Wasn't there another thread where someone's car was keyed and he blamed a Honda owner....

Anyway, I would expect that "rice" haters would more likely slash your tires because of a sticker than "ricers".

I'll just say that I have no idea who did it. It could also have been a 12 year-old kid or a 75 yo grandma for all I know.

Maybe, but I don't think so. Most people who know about "riced" up cars would get the joke. Or maybe not. :p

Yeah if you take the air out it makes the tires lighter.

No, because ricers are dorks, and rice haters are sensible.

The other guy blamed a Honda owner because he parked, and there were a bunch of adolescent kids with riced Hondas giving him dirty looks. And they wrote stupid stuff, too.

Oh, and I didn't tell you the weird unrelated part. Ben Johnson was in the same restaurant. Not as bulked up as he was in his... errr... "competitive" days.

These are Bridgestone Potenza tubeless tires. Hopefully they can be patched.
