Bass Pro Shop in Memphis

SAWYER

Lifer
I was surprised to see the last time I went to Memphis a couple weeks ago the side of the Pyramid has Bass Pro in huge letters, biggest billboard ever. I was told the whole area around the Pyramid will be turned into shops etc, about time they do something with that area.

It isnt a typical mall, the actual Pyramid is the Bass Pro Shop, pretty cool idea imo

Bass Pro is awesome -- I highly suggest eating at the restaurant. Lots of awesome game that you typically would not eat.

I like what they are doing with the area, I don't go out to Memphis too much, but a friend of mine is the operations manager for that store.

I went to the Bas Pro Shop in North Lousiana and was not impressed. Not sure why peopple are all ga-ga over them. Their prices are high, I get my stuffs at Academy.

We're getting one of these in Bridgeport as part of their "Steelpoint Harbor" downtown rebuilding plan.

Basically, it sounds like a Cabela's with more boats. Am I missing something?

the fuck?

In addition to the retail store itself, Bass Pro at the Pyramid is home to an archery range, shooting range, and laser arcade. The building also includes an Uncle Buck's Fishbowl and Grill with a bowling alley and a saltwater aquarium. The tallest freestanding elevator in America takes visitors to The Lookout at the Pyramid at the apex of the building, where they can take in the view on an indoor and outdoor observation deck or get a bite to eat at the "Sky High Catfish Cabin"; a restaurant, bar, and aquarium at the top of the building. At the base of the Pyramid is a 100-room hotel known as the Big Cypress Lodge. Bass Pro at the Pyramid contains 600,000 gallons of water features and the largest collection of waterfowl and hunting related equipment in the world

It is right next to the Mississippi when you cross the bridge. Downtown Memphis is on the other side

That looks more like it. The pic you took makes it look like it's in the middle of a desert. I think what I'm seeing is the median of the street?

the fuck?

Don't question it. You can get drunk, go shoot some bows, then guns, then play laser tag and then visit an aquarium then get food WITHOUT EVEN LEAVING THE BUILDING!!! Brilliant. All they need is a casino and strip joint. :hmm:

I've been buying fishing gear from Charkbait for a couple years now. They're local and they cater to the west coast/salt water fisherman. Plus they have hot chicks modeling their products on their website.

This really is the worst looking website I've ever seen but they are honest, have good prices, great selection of inventory and hot chicks. What more could you ask for?

I actually bought this tackle box after my last fishing trip. Not because of the hot chick but because a couple guys on the boat had them and they are really well thought out, sturdy and you can use them as a seat/rod holder.
