I just got the Labtec Pulse 424's for $50 and I can say they are a steal for the sound they deliver. Id say they are on par with my friend's Microworks. Anyways, I'm looking for some fairly NEW bass-heavy techno or other type of songs. BTW, if anybody is in the market for speakers, try these ones out. I read all the reviews and thought it was all hype but Labtec put it's money where it's mouth is.
 
For bass-testing, you can try Techmaster P.E.B or IBP... Techmaster is really kicking @ss

search for a song called "Ultra Bass Test"..the whole thing is basically bass tones below 70hz. It'll probably bottom out the Labtec's though...you may not hear much. Worth a shot though.
 
I have this bass test mp3 that starts at 360Hz and goes down to 0 in 10Hz decrements. PM me if you want it, or search for Bass Test Silicon Sound System.
