Basic Windows Question

Hibernate saves everything in memory to the hard drive and then lets the computer turn off. When you boot your computer, it loads the memory data back into RAM, and it'll resume

Standby simply turns off certain devices on your computer such as your hard drive, your monitor and etc. From there, it freezes everything and stays quiet until theirs action done by the user.
