basic htpc and 32" lcd resolution issue

I previously had a dual core machine with a 8400gs pci-e video card running as my htpc. Basically just to watch movies and play music on the TV (32" LG Lcd)

it would run 1366x768 (LCD Native Resolution) just fine over VGA cable.

I switched to another system, because it was overkill to have a dual core machine just to stream movies, etc..

so now I am using an IBM Thinkcenter S50 with integrated intel graphics. Everything works fine, except the only resolution I can get to work is 1024x768 and actually fit in the screen properly. Suggestions on how I can get back to my 1366x768?

this machine only has pci slots, so I could get an inexpensive pci video card if that will fix the issue.
