NESN (New England Sports Network) is playing a lot of last season's Red Sox games lately... once the Pats win the Superbowl on Sunday (heh heh) I am not going to be able to wait till baseball starts! Just watching this is giving me the itch for baseball (they are playing the June 27, 2003 stomping of the Marlins, when we scored 10 runs before they recorded an out.) Even though I know what happens its still exciting.

What teams do you guys think are in good position for the 2004 season?

Watching more of this game, I just realized how happy I will be to not see Grady Little coming out of our dugout next year...

Nevermind, the game's on. :D

What an asswhoopin' of the 'world champion Marlins'

LOL.

Ahhhhhh, I'm beating my head against the desk.......if they hadn't blown that game 7 lead against the Yanks, this is how easy it would've been against the Marlins.....

As a Twins fan, I'm not happy that the organization partially dismantled the team over the off-season. I bet we'll still win our division though, which is more than Boston can say. Sweet sweet AL Central.

S'OK... same basic lineup returning this year, with big David getting way more ABs than last year... Pedro, Curt, DLowe, Wake, and BK as the rotation... I'm feeling optimistic.:D:beer:

Your division is about as hard as a Twinie filling... If you were in the same division as the Bosox and Yankees you wouldn't ever make the playoffs.

Psh... after the dismantling the Twins did this year, no way they beat the White Sox for the AL Central.

Typical Boston fan. Pissed over the ALCS all over again. Admit it, if you'd won that game you would have been one of the first in line to blow him. Your hindsight is wonderful. When P blows the game you hate Grady but if he'd pulled P and someone from your bully had blown the game you'd hate Grady then too. Get over it Chowds.

Anyway, I'm guessing we'll see scary things out of Boston and the Angels this year. Maybe Houston too. Being able to run Petite and Clemens out there every five days certainly won't hurt you.

Typical national media view who thinks my hatred (or that of Sox fans) of Grady Little stems from that one game. Remember just because you people had limited exposure to that imbecile during the regular season, only getting to see his stupidity in the national games, he pulled crap like that all season, and it was agonizing for me (I watched all 162 games, either there, or on TV). That was just the nail in the coffin. Want evidence? Check www.sonsofsamhorn.com, go to the forums, they have archived 2003 game threads for a good number of games that people posted in WHILE THE GAMES WERE OCCURING, criticizing him because he was a moron. So much for the monday morning QB theory. Don't speak on that which you don't know.

Well, he got you to your first ALCS since 99 and your best record since 86 (albeit only by one game). If he wins you 95 games and gets you to the ALCS he can't be doing too bad of a job. He might not have been the worlds brightest manager but you certainly could have done a lot worse. I also find it impressive that he got you there despite the fact that you have possibly, the two biggest cancers in baseball which makes it hard to win typically. *shrugs*

Without him we win 100 games last season easy... best offense in baseball history, and a decent rotation (though our bullpen sucked until after the allstar break)

I actually realized something that pissed me off last season was related to the game I watched tonight, when he apologized to Jack McKeon when we beat them. Please. We ended up losing the next game by one run because Johnny Damon didn't tag up and score when we were up in that game by 5 runs, possibly because of the previous night. Argh. And that was just one...

This could go on forever. You don't want to argue Red Sox with me... just let it go. Please. Because as a Red Sox fan, I can't... :p

yeah, hence the sweet sweet AL central part.

Any person that watches Red Sox should have game 7 of ALCS continuously rebroadcast to their house.

I'd rather watch that game than game 6 of the 86 WS. I lost my Red Sox grief cherry that day, every time I see it its like a jackhammer blow to the nuts. How did this turn into a Red Sox thread? I was trying to get a Hot Stove thing going... :p

Hahahah..both the Twins and the White Sox have done major restructuring. The Royals are a shoe-in for the AL Central. Can't believe you guys overlooked them. Even the Tigers will give the Royals more competition than the Twinks will.

Yeah I could care less about Aaron Boone. He sucked, he just happens to be the lucky SOB who locked down that which was already destined to happen because of Grady's doddering. Boone didn't win that game for the Yanks, Grady made us lose it. :brokenheart: I don't feel any ill will towards him really. Good for him that a craptastic player such as himself has something he can tell his kids besides "I played in MLB and sucked terribly".

It's cool because this multi-million dollar so-called superstar who got one lucky hit in his career has a clause in his contract that states he's not supposed to engage in any activites where he can possibly hurt himself, INCLUDING BASKETBALL, which he was playing when he tore his ACL. My heart bleeds for him being a dumbass.....

theres a difference in not feeling bad because he did something he wasnt supposed to and feeling he deserved it. your url is titled sweet redemption. that is a bit heartless. why is it redemption that the guy wont be able to play next year? how does that get you a win in game 7?
