baseball season just started and I am already stressed!

Frist off there is the stupid new rule change. Last year each child got 7 pitches and they could swing at all 7. Now they get 5 pitches and three strikes.

We had the seaon opener yesterday against the best team in the league. With the first crack of the bat it looked bad. The ball rolled straight to the outfield with everyone just standing watching it roll by. The second baseman tracked it down and threw it to the pitcher. He chased down the runner as he was nearing home plate. It went downhill for the other team from there. 🙂

My daughter batted a 1.000 with a single and a base clearing triple late in the 4th inning. She also stopped a late rally by the other team by stopping a smoking grounder to third and getting the last out with the bases loaded. Sealing the shutout. (So I am a little proud of her. She's 4 playing against mostly 5 and 6 year old boys.)

There is nothing better than watching 4-6 year olds play some coach pitch baseball!
 
LMAO...i just picture all the outfielders looking at the ball...😀 any of the kids running after a ball throw their glove at it? that always cracks me up. 😀 little league baseball rules....wish my nephew's were down here in AZ now that i have a normal work day job. (used to work nights in MN and could never see them play)
 
i thought you were talking about MLB.. .ahah, I was about to post something about Pudge being put on the DL soon, but now i wont 😉

well pudge could have been put on the DL. He was playing on a dirt pile and twisted his ankle before the game. (His name is not pudge but by looking at him you think it would be).
 
haha reading the title i thought for sure u were gonna be a Red Sox or MEts fan...i think the only fans to be totally stressed from opening day all the way till the final week every year...and with the same goal...proove the yankees suck

You got that right! But this game was particularly stressful. This is a small town with a small league of only 4 teams. Its a good ol' boy network kind of thing and somehow every year all the 6 year old boys get on one team and they usually go undefeated. I don't know why they create this ringer team since once the season is over they combine for an all-star team. And there is no advancement for the orginal team.

I am a true believer that the whole point of this is for my 4 year old to have fun. And she loves the game. But I wanted to beat this team at least once and ruin their hopes of an undefeated season. And we smoked them 5- zip!
