the only reason i care is because he's on my fantasy team... this son of a b!tch is batting a whooping .087! 2 hits in 23 at bats. this is insanity. i know this is just the start of a season... but still :frown:
 
The good news is that the season is only 1.5 weeks old. Alomar, Helton. Ramirez, and a bunch of other stars are all struggling. The bad news is that Kendall is not a star, and that he plays on weak offensive team. I think .270, 15 hr, 70 runs, 70 rbi, 10 sb is all you can expect from him. He is really overated in a lot of leagues. I'd wait until he has a hot streak and try to trade him. I doubt there is a better catcher on the waiver wire.
 
yea i don't think i drafted him too high (can't remember)... i'm not expecting superstar numbers. just *some* numbers, period 😛

i've got him on my espn team also. the 10 sb will help anyway. more than all other catchers. 🙂

i have hatteberg as my catcher now, i've benched kendall. never even heard of hatteberg, but he's doing better than kendall.
 
Yep...I got him too...damn him and his batting average! Yes the season is still early, but .087 is pathetic... If you can, try picking up Eli Marrero for now--he's off to a hot start hitting .733 and not even catching, but playing LF.
 
Dude, relax, it's only been a week or so. And Kendall has not been himself ever since that nasty ankle injury he had a couple of years ago.


He'll come around, don't worry.
 
jason kendall hasn't been the same after he broke his foot.... or some part of it... i forget. it's hard to find a catcher that can stay healthy.
 
Jason Kendall went to HS in Redondo beach near me. I saw him kick ass at a HS all-star game when I was in middle school, or had just started HS. Give him time, the season is only like 8 or 9 games old.
 
hahaha...i think the only people reading this thread are people who have him on their fantasy team...

i'm playing head to head and kendall is killing me this week...actually all my batters are...glad alomar hit a HR today...

if you're interested in my team, click here..., i dropped rick reed for ryan jensen though...hehe
 
update... i still have kendall and he is doing a bit better. he's been relegated to backup by dan wilson though... wilson's hitting 400 or something 🙂
 
I have Kendall also... I have Jermaine Dye and Chan Ho Park hoping to come back this week. I don't know what I'm going to do with Park. Traditionally a good pitcher, but got rocked in his first AL start. Hoping he comes around.
