There is a leaked report going around... it is probably baloney but includes some big names on there...

A bunch of no shocker names on there, but also guys like Pujols, Pettitte, Varitek, Damon, Prior, Tejada, Gagne, the Boone bros (always had a feeling about Bret), Bagwell... lots of bums on the list too. Of course, these "leaked" names are probably BS, but I can see all of those guys having juiced.

Damon? I would be shocked. He's such a thin little guy, he never looked bulked up at all.

I'm listening to Mitchell right now--most boring speech evar.

He seems to be injecting a lot of personal opinion into it. I think he may be confused as to why people are listening to him.

lets see how many people are going to * the players named in teh report, esp. after everyone wants to * Bonds

Why would it be any different? If someone cheated, I don't think they deserve to have their "records" recognized.

I do think Pete Rose should be in the hall of fame (unless he also cheated). I think it's absurd that the penalty for gambling is far more than the penalty for cheating in baseball.

This is why Pete is not in...

"Voting shall be based upon the player's record, playing ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character, and contributions to the team(s) on which the player played."

He bet while mangaing a team in baseball. I fell his records and stats should stand but he does not fit the profile and rules for being in the HoF. The HoF is not just about records, even though most think it is. For that reason I do not think he should be in. Of course neither should Bonds.

That's not why he's not in. He couldn't be voted in because after he was banned the HoF created a rule that prevented anyone with a lifetime ban from baseball from being eligible to be in the HoF.
