Anyone got one of these? I've looked at 2 reviews, one says 2600MHz @ 1.7, the other says 2.3GHz at stock voltage.

Haven't had a chance to test, as my heatsink hasn't arrived yet (even though I have my NF7 and AS5 and the CPU all ready - never order from 2 seperate places!), but hopefully I should be able to get it running.

Are newer (04) Mobiles any good?

My mobile 2600 is the AQYHA stepping but it's a week 46 chip.

My is currently running on a 195 x 12.5 = 2440mhz on an 8RDA board at 1.65v. I know for a fact that it's the board that's holding me back, and not the mobile chip. Some of the early revisions of the 8RDA boards don't like 200 FSB without a VDD mod.

I will know more when I get home, but I also just ordered a 2600 mobile from newegg and it will be waiting for me tonight :) I would imagine it will be an 04 chip. I bought on FS forum a 0346 chip also 2600 mobile. It will be interesting to see how well the two compare. I am new to most of this and am likely not to get the time to do as robust of testing as I have seen from some of the folks on this board, but I will certainly try to see what is the highest safest stability that I can get on air.

I'm going to have to do multiplier overclocking, as I only have sucky PC2100 RAM (well, 1 256MB stock of PC2700, but that's not enough for gaming), so I'm going to be hoping for something like 133x18 until I can get some more RAM (assuming I can get the mult up that high, Bartons are unlocked for all higher mults as well? - Abit NF7).

My chip was from a UK site, so I have no idea what Newegg might send you, hope it's a good 'un tho :)

You might try seeing how far you can get with the PC2100. It may be able to hit PC2700 speeds if it's high quality RAM and you bump up the voltage to 2.7/2.8v.

Right now, I am using a combination of PC3200 and PC2700 in my system and the Mushkin PC2700 is running at 195 FSB on about 2.75v (no Memtest errors).

Regardless, I'm pretty sure the NF7 will let you use the higher multipliers above 12.5x, but you need to confirm that.

Assuming the NF7 and NF7-S are the same, you are all set. The multipliers I believe go up to 19. Not at home so cant' check for sure, but I am pretty certain that is what I saw.

I have an AQYHA 2600+...0346...didn't get to overclock hardly at all, due to a component problem. However, if 2.2ghz at 1.5v is any indication, your chip should run well if there isn't much difference between the 04 and 03 steppings

Currently running at 1.72v (actual), at 133x18 (2400MHz).
Haven't tried lower voltages yet, decided to go for some speed and stability, might lower voltages at some stage.
Haven't Primed yet, but it ran Prime and SuperPi for 1hr concurrent at 2.25GHz, max temp was about 48 @ 1.675v.
Not bad for my first real overclock, and a Volcano 7, and my first try at applying AS of any kind (AS5).

Congratulations on the results. I really didn't think the mobiles would be able to hit 2.4ghz using the higher multipliers.
