Does the Shuttle SN45G have enough power to drive a Barton 3000/400, 1GB of DDR400 ram, 120GB WD SE, & a 9700 AIW Pro??

I've seen people say that was fine with the regular 9700 Pro, was just wondering if the draw of the AIW was much more??

Thanx.

At Tech-Report, they tested a GF FX5900 with a 3GHz P4 overclocked to 3.3GHz, and they reported no power/stability problems. It's not a guarantee, but it does indicate the likelyhood of doing a barton/9700pro XPC without difficulty.

whoops... dbl post somehow.. anyway..

i'm running almost the exact same system:

3200+
9800 Pro 128
120 gig Maxtor
CDRW/DVD Combo

Seems to be working great. But, I've heard many more people having problems with the aiw series for some reason.

let us know how it goes

Will do :)

Quick question, did you change out the fan or are you using the stock fan & how would you rate the audio solution on this board??

It's not the same as the nForce2 SoundStorm (right??), but is it comparable?? Does it have like the Dolby 5.1 support??

I guess in my case it's only when it comes to DVD's that it would matter, since I don't plan on this being much of a gaming box but instead a HTPC.

I'm using the stock fan it came with. It seems fine to me, even set on "high", it doesn't bother me at all.

As for sound, I'm using the onboard sound. Someone told me it has soundstorm, and it seems to sound just as good as the sound on my nf7-s (soundstorm). And, yes, i believe it supports dd 5.1. The box also has optical in/out on its backside.
