Bars and Beers question

Yep.
Draught - most of the taps are in the back. Usually a couple hundred or so....

Seriously......

Bottles- Usually the top brands plus whatever others the demographics will support

Draught - If you want a large selection your best bet is a "draught house". Most bars just stock the major brands. Bottles are easier to deal with and having a bunch of beer that doesn't sell isn't good. You only have ~45 days to sell a keg before it turns to sh!t. Most bars attract a certain "beer type" so it is pointless to have a very wide selection.

It IS AT, he could be 25 & have never been to a bar

Plus you yanks have that ****** up 21 drinking age crap 😛

Completely depends on the bar, your standard bar will have 5-10 different beers on tap (bud/miller/coors/local brew/ and bass or sam adams type beer) and 20-30 different bottles (many of which are the same as tap) . A good bar will have 30-50 beers on tap and several hundred different bottled beers

I'm 21 & i went to the pub last night actually, and on sunday, and on friday 😛

I usually go @least three times a week with my mates 😉

I'm 21 and I don't go to pub. I just don't like the whole idea of getting wasted.
That question was from my hw, it was due the next day, so I asked the question.

it was about exlusive dealing.
The question asked do you expect exclusive dealings occur between Coors and a local pub on bottled beers or draught beers.

Yes some bars only sell certain brands because they get better deals from their distributors based on qty. purchased in their area. In some states (maybe all) it is illegal for the brewery to sell directly to the consumer/bar/liquor store, they must sell to a distributor who then sells to bars/stores etc... That is why you get free beer when you take a brewery tour but cannot buy beer from the brewery directly.

Most bars purchase different products from multiple distributors because not all distributors carry all products so the coors distributor may not sell bud or miller but may sell all of the other products the bar purchases such as vodka, gin, wine etc..

Also some bars only sell certain brands because of popularity. In some areas many people prefer budweiser, other areas coors etc....

Edit: distributors also offer promotions/discounts when products are about to expire (reference born on date on budweiser)

Exclusive? No.
1. You don't deal directly with Coors.
2. Coors only has a 10% on premise consumption market share. It would be a stupid move.

It may be ok for draught if you only have a couple of taps but odds are you wouldn't be selling enough to make such a deal worthwhile. Better to stock the top draught sellers (bud light, miller lite, bud, coors light, yuegling, and guiness).

When I lived in White Plains, went to the Lazy Boy Saloon all the time....check out this list

http://www.ezpages.com/l001beer.htm

And that doesn't even look like the entire list...and I have never ordered a beer that they didn't have

Their beer menu is like 4 full pages of fine print

Happy Hours were great!!!
