BS. The roids made him that type of player, not his natural ability.

are you serious? He won multiple MVPs and was arguably the best player in the game even before he started using steroids. Do people here actually know baseball? I can't tell if some of you jokers are being facetious. It's once he used steroids thathis numbers became just ungodly, but he was still a HOF talent and player before that as well.

Really......you people are really so dumb, its stupid.

Bonds' stats prior to the 1998 season include a .288 batting average, a .408 on-base percentage, and a .551 slugging percentage. He had 1,750 hits, which included 321 doubles, 56 triples, and 374 round trippers. He drove in 1,094 runs, while crossing the plate 1,244 times himself.

He did all that while also walking 1,227 times. Bonds was not only a threat at the plate, but once he got on base, he stole 417 times. He did all this while only striking out 958 times.

And oh by the way, Bonds had one the best throwing arms. Dudes rarely tried to score on him. And oh by the way, those numbers as lofty as they are were mostly compiled while he played at 3 Rivers. One of, if not the worst homerun hitting ballpark in the majors. He was the best pure power hitter the game had seen since Mays, Aaron, or Ruth. Oustide of Willie Mays there is no ballplayer in the history of the game who could rival Bonds as a 5 tool player. Think about this, he was a power hitter who only stuck out more than 100 times in his career once, in his rookie year.

Can't say much about the man, but to deny what he was as a baseball player can't be done.

Stick to cricket....because you don't know a damn thing about baseball.

Without roids he was going to be a guy people put in the top 10 all time discussions. No question.

Great player? Yes. Best of all time? No. Roiding ruined his chances of having that title and quite possibly a HOF induction. But no one can have a different view on who or what Bonds is to Baseball because if they do, they don't know anything about the sport. 🙄 How stupid are you?

No, read his statement again. I'll even quote and bold for you.

Did you catch it?

I'm saying WITHOUT steroid use he is one of the top ten of all time, he makes him THE greatest. If you disregard his steroid use then yes he is but we aren't.

And yes, strike all his records or ** them to hell and back. Both work for me.

I posted something here too quickly. Please god, don't let them quote my error.

I did, I just did it too late. It occurred to me to see what Classy's original argument was after I already posted that obviously wrong assessment. You F5ed and quoted me before I could retract it. I plainly retract it, as we are in complete agreement.

Probably jail time, like Martha Stewart.

Regardless, greatest baseball player ever to live. Bonds was spectacular in every way.

And in each of their first 10 years, Phat Albert rocks Bonds' (off the roids) OPS+ 171 to 161 and a 42 point higher batting average (.288 to .330). Hell, Bonds isn't even a career .300 hitter WITH steroids.

You don't have a fcking clue about baseball, Phat Albert will be the greatest ever over Ted Williams when it's all said and done.

And, you know for a fact when Bonds actually began using steroids how?

Fact, not until Bonds comes clean, but it has been hashed over enough to make educated guesses. Who knows really? Some guys admitted to roids that you would not have suspected by looking at them, so Bonds could have been on juice since grade school for all we really know.

I think the substance of his argument is outside the pale of this topic though.

Conspiracy, obstruction, and making false statements to federal investigators.

But her sentence was for something far more serious than steroid use in baseball.

Insider trading is governed by federal law. Baseball, on the other hand. . . . .

Yes, clearly we should only prosecute poor people since it costs so much to convict the rich😱

Clearly we shouldnt spend millions and millions chasing an athlete who put some drugs into his body...

Who gives a shit.....

I love how people think steroids make you super-human. If that was the case, every Joe Schmo would take them and be in the majors...

Albet Pujols is a great ball player. But he is not the fielder or the base runner Bonds was. Bonds is quite a bit better overall ball player than Pujols. There is more to baseball than swinging a bat.

she went to jail because she lied about it, not because of the actual insider trading, that was just a fine. Stupid ego got in the way and she lied. If I remember correctly, the fine she had to pay if she fessed up was like 30k. Peanuts.
