Suing a website for posting a pic of her estate as part of a 12,000+ image database documenting coastal erosion. One pic out of 12,000 is of her home and she says it's an invasion of privacy.

If you're posting pics of the Ca coastline, what does a high resolution pic of her home, complete with the placement of her doors and windows, have to do with it?

That in mind, I can see why she might be a little flipped about this.



 
The story also says it IDs her house along with other celebrities. Why do you need to take hi-res pics of celebrities' homes to document erosion on the CA coastline, and then sell them for $50-120 a pop? Sounds like paparazzi in disguise to me.

Since when is it illegal to take pics from an aircraft, hi res or not, of anything you want to? Also, since when is it illegal to sell those pics? Somebody needs to show me the law.

well, I guess it's a little crappy to label the pic "streisend estate" or whatever, but I wouldn't call that pic excessively high res. Aside from that, it is barbra and I hate her. I hope errosion occurs quickly and destroys her house. buyah-
