i have used dumeter for a couple of years, but now i am doing quite a bit of backups for my home machines. i need a banwidth meter that can seperate what is lan and what is wan, because currently it looks like one of my machines, the one were all the backup images go, d/l ~10GB/day.

If you are running windows you can turn the NetBEUI/NetBIOS networking protocols and DU Meter won't see the lan traffic.

I'm sorry i meant to say turn on (install) NetBEUI/NetBIOS networking protocols and DU Meter won't see the lan traffic.

Clearly people have opinions about running multiple protocols, but this will solve your problem.
