I can't get a checking account with Citibank, but yet, I have a saving account and a credit card with GBP 1,000 credit line!

They have a 6 months wait policy for US nationals coming from US. my credit card was issued under citicard which operates different than citibank, alse they have pulled my credit history from US. the combined credit line I have with citi in the US is well over $20k yet they give me only 1000 pounds.
