Banker makes 350,000 a year says its not enough.

"I wouldn't want to whine," Schiff said. "All I want is the stuff that I always thought, growing up, that successful parents had."

It's all expectations and perspective. We all expect certain things out of life. The "rich" expect more than say a WalMart greeter would. It is hard to feel any sympathy for any of these people because most of us fall far below their standard of living. They should go buy a small farm outside of the city and commute in if they want their space and cereal.

Defintiely a 1st world problem.

I know Crooklyn can have some nice homes and all (mostly interior), but why is he living there of all places? Why surround yourself with such a craphole when you're making 350? Maybe if you lived somewhere with better schools, like LI or Westchester, you wouldn't have to put 3 kids in private school.

"people who don't have money don't understand the stress," said alan dlugash, a partner at accounting firm marks paneth & shron llp in new york who specializes in financial planning for the wealthy. "could you imagine what it's like to say i got three kids in private school, i have to think about pulling them out? How do you do that?"

omg teh horrorz!

Maybe I should start a new career and help all these poor suffering 1%'ers cut their budget to a point where they can afford the shit they buy. I could work for a bargain fee, only $100/hr...

Wow, what fucking assholes.

I wasn't surprised when I found out the tip story last week was BS, but damn, I'm also not surprised that it comes off as way too feasible after people like in that link.

JHumeC...

This just shows that rich people are as low class as the dipshits on welfare and food stamps while driving their Skittles car on 26 inch rims or Escalades.

make more, you spend more. that being said, if i made $350k a year, id be set!

The difference is they're acting like its somehow worse for them than people less fortunate.

This is just fucking dumb. It was their collective shitty financial sense (if not plenty of their outright criminal behavior) that caused the whole mess, and they're complaining about being able to afford renting a vacation home? They work in the financial market, yet are having issues managing their own personal financial situations?

$350,000? damn that would be tough... you could be a sugar daddy to one, possibly two if the second did not have high expectations. You can't live like that.

i'm not defending those people in the article...

but disregarding what the person makes, when you expect a bonus of whatever amount and you get 75% of that amount, it would suck. it's basically getting a pay cut you didn't know about...

but so is the life of bonus based work... i would HATE it and am glad my salary is not based on it

That's why they shouldn't plan their budgets around expectations - that's kinda like all the people who lost their houses in the last few years because the overtime at work dried up and they were back to a straight 40. Suddenly they couldn't afford to live anymore.

agree 100%

He provides the most to society and thus is rewarded the most. If you reward him less he will provide less.

Fairly simple.

Go get a doctorate in finance and make the same money he does or quit your bitching.

lol spending $17,000 on your fucking dogs and you think I'm bitching GTFO

Without getting to P&Ny on this one I have always thought banks have outgrown their original purpose. They have turned into multi headed Kthulu like krakens with tenticles that go straight up all our asses.

Was that OT enough?

I think thats just a general response for someone who's faced with the results of living beyond their means. You'll see pretty much the exact same from someone making 350k as 70k as 30k and its "Other people just don't understand"

Besides - is anyone really suprised that the country lacks basic financial sense from top to bottom? People have been fat and happy for too long and think that those good times will always continue. 'I'll save tomorrow when I make more. It will be easier then.' But then some toy comes along and they buy that instead. Hopefully this economic down turn will show people that they actually need to take responsibility for their long term financial stability

I hope all of those complainers lose even more money so they too can experience the horrors of public schools, $20,000 cars, and hand washing dirty dishes.

Seriously, fuck them. I've got no problem with rich people. It's rich people who complain about not being rich enough that deserve to lose it all.
