there is a banjo convention or something at the hotel i'm working at. nonstop banjo playing for the past 2 hours and no signs of letting up.....i think i'm going crazy 😕

i might put on overalls, a strawhat, and start doing a jig soon....

My wife says it's the instrument of a hillbilly. Whatever she can keep her cans on listening to Godsmack garbage. :roll:

Born and raised in Kentucky. I heard Bluegrass growing up and though it was what evertyghing sounded like.

Seriously, there's a sincerity and honesty in Bluegrass that is conspicuosly absent in anything pop.

i dont think i could take just pure banjo music for 3 hours....

maybe if it were part of a band that had something else, bela fleck comes to mind 🙂

It'd be too much if one of 'em whipped out a violin bow (or in their case - a fiddle bow) and did something like Zeppelin's Dazed and Confused on the banjo.

I think the joy of the banjo is watching someone play. Has anyone ever played a guitar with a pick on every finger? It could probably be interesting.
