Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts demo up.

Saw the Nuts & Bolts demo up yesterday, and it's downloaded onto my 360 for me to try out this weekend. This demo will help me decide if I should preorder it to get the arcade title for free as well.

For those who've played it, what do you think?

I watched someone play it. Having both played and beaten the original game, the 360 game was a huge disappointment.

At least it looked pretty.

it's a huge disappointment yet you havent played it yet? 😕

i am so back logged with demos. TRU, Mirrors Edge, and now this. When will I find time?!?

I turned it on, tried in vain to skip all the bs cutscenes, and played for like 20 seconds before I deleted it. I guess it just not for me.

I played it for about 30 minutes. I would have liked to have less vehicle play and more platforming. I ran into a mission where you had to push 4 soccer balls into the net but the turning on the vehicles is so touchy that you can't really navigate very easily and it became tedious very quickly.

Same thing with a racing mission. I kept getting caught up in the other racer's vehicles and nearly lost because I couldn't get off of a vehicle.

The scary thing was one of the loading screens even said: If vehicle's aren't for you try the original Banjo-Kazooie on XBLA.

I might pick it up after I put some more time into it but the vehicle control is way too rigid.

Read my post. I watched someone play it, and I've played/beaten the original. We both had the same opinion - it was very disappointing. You don't always have to play a game to tell that.

As someone else said, there seemed to be little to no platforming...boo.

Played a little bit of the demo this morning, and it seems to me like it'd be worth a $40 purchase. Doubt I'll buy it, but I'll probably go through the demo again.

I went ahead and pre-ordered Nuts & Bolts so I could get it and the original Banjo-Kazooie on XBLA together for $40. For both games at that price, it seems more than worth it.

I enjoyed the demo, lots of humour and personality. It also looks gorgeous. The UK price is £40 though - WTF is that about?
