Anyone else just cringe when they see a trailer/commercial/billboard for this movie? Damn Nic Cage is lame these days. I never did like him much though.

What's up with this poster anyways: Poster. Were they so busy airbrushing in his hair they forgot to put a gun in his hand? 😕
 
The whole gun scene where he wraps his arms around another man from behind, goddamn that scene makes me cringe.
 
Anything with Nicolas Cage is a stinking turd from the begining. The man cannot act to save his life. He plays one character, Nicolas Cage.
 
I'm trying to decide which is more unintentionally funny. Nic Cage's hair in Bangkok Dangerous, or Nic Cage's hair in Con Air. I'm leaning towards Con Air just for its mulletness, but also wondering if this is one of those questions that is best left unanswered.

Bite your tongue, The Rock was badass. Not a classic, but a fantastic action movie. This one on the other hand looks terrible.

oh no no, I totally agree with you. I'm just saying that it's been a long time since there were really awesome Nicholas Cage movies
 
I can't even stand to watch the previews. The little bit of dialogue and the completely ridiculous tagline in the preview makes me wish it were a joke so Nick Cage doesn't embarrass himself further. I used to like his movies, but I'd have to agree with my fiance who always points out that he seems to play the same exact character in every single movie.
 
Can I ask what the hell is up with the title? Is it supposed to be Bangkok (is) Dangerous, just with the is dropped?

BTW : Nick Cage sucks balls as an actor. He is terrible beyond words.
 
Leaving Las Vegas was genius. He has also been good in various other films. But yes, he's had a dry spell of good roles of late.

i didnt even like those two....well i did on the first viewing, but never again.
 
Cage has been in beaucoup movies but more stinkers than not. I recommend these:

Raising Arizona
Wild at Heart
Red Rock West
Adaptation

...and optionally Birdy. It's kind of queer but not total trash like the countless Hollywood action stinkbombs he has been in. Since consulting imdb I see he was in the acclaimed Rumble Fish but of course in a supporting role. Leaving Las Vegas was pop in its day but may be overrated. More recently I would count Lord of War as watchable but god I wish I could unsee at least ten others. Because of those he has been on my "shit list" for the better part of a decade -that is, I assume anything he will be in is poop. Indeed, I only braved Lord of War despite him being in it due to the appeal of the subject matter (arms trade).

As for Bangkok Dangerous, yes it looks silly. And I think "is" has indeed purposely been dropped in the manner of broken English common with SE Asians. Of course it does make for a catchy title and the racialist angle would surely be denied.

Nick Cage is a douchebag. This movie looks terrible and the scene where he puts his arms around some other guy's neck while holding guns is incredibly gay.

The poster looks like he's reaching for the gun in his jacket with his other hand, though. Movie posters/media are so incredibly chopped these days it's hard to tell exactly what the fuck is suppose to be going on with the composite of 9 different images.
 
The only thing that's missing from the previews is him walking away from a big explosion and just staring into the camera thinking he's a badass. Though just because it's not in the preview doesn't mean it's not in the movie.

Anyways, i love all the comments about Nick Cage's hair here. It seems his hair getts thinner and his hair line moves back a few millimeters every movie he makes.

Only movie I ever liked him in was that Christmas Movie.

Anyways, I have to say, his WORST movie was that horrible movie "Next"
 
Maybe I missed something but the fact that this movie is just getting press right before it comes out is not a good sign. Movies like that are usually being hidden for a reason.
