cazadores reposado or bust

Interesting website: "Enter a world where you walk among the shadows. Where the future is guided by the past. Where tequila is mystical, original. Where you are the hunter."

I wonder what happens if you drink this at a Holiday Inn Express. 😉

I don't seem to have the same sexual preferences you do.

Why you so upset, WalMart call you in to work today?

No, had to take the wife to Target and it made me weep for humanity. You wouldn't believe what a cluster fuck that store is and they still pile in there. Hate those fucking stores.

On the plus side, margarita mix was on sale. Too bad I hate tequila too.

So how's your buzz coming? Start lighting off them fireworks yet? You ought to have a shit ton if you sold an M3 to buy them!

I just whore out your mom for cheap.

funny you playing the walmart schtick using target.

Alky, I'm drinking margs today, too. Will you come visit me? We can be friends. I don't even really live in Detroit! Oh em gee.

Going to make some Margaritas today with Tres Generaciones + Grand Marnier Titanium + a squeeze of Grapefruit juice.

I'm a tequila connoisseur - have about 15 bottles in the house currently. Only buy 100% Agave. I'm anti Patron, its good but severely overpriced.

Best budget tequila - $20 and under 750ml size & great for margaritas
1) El Jimador
2) Sauza Hornitos
3) Milagro
4) Camarena
5) Puerto Vallerata

Best tequila under $30
1) Gran Centenario (Best Buy out of all my picks)
2) Corralejo
3)Tres Agaves
4) Cazadores

$30-50
1) Don Julio Silver - best for shots
2) Don Eduardo
3) Herencia - big Agave flavor

Sipping -
Don Julio Anejo

Fresh home made margarita mix is preferred but for pre made we like. Dr. Swami

Here they are. I have been copying restaurant recipes. Since I went with Patron Gold most say my margaritas are close to "X" brand. Chili's is my girlfriends favorite (their 2 for 1 frozen strawberry version). I found getting rid of margarita mix and buying the individual products (esp fresh strawberries) makes a HUGE difference. Still something is off.

This has been my recipe (since changing from Margarita mix and Silver Patron to Gold):
•6 ounces tequila
•2 ounces triple sec
•8 ounces frozen sliced strawberries in syrup
•4 fluid ounces frozen limeade concentrate (we use the 'Adult Limeade' from Total Wine which has some tequila in it).

I do need a better blender. I use a Bullet type that I can't remember the name of but was excellent for my protein shakes. Now that I am mixing more than one serving at a time it's sucking. It's very fast at a single serving though, but really loud.

Lose the Triple Sec. Use Cointreau

Lose the "limeade". Use fresh citrus.

Lose the strawberries. Are you a fucking teenage girl?

Lose the blender. That's for gringos pendejos.

WTF were you thinking? A Margarita is a simple classic drink and look at what you've done to it.

I've literally never had tequila. More of a Vodka man. And in the case of vodka, it doesn't matter at all. Though I guess I enjoy potato vodka like luksusowa honestly.

You guys and your expensive alcohol though. Pretty sure its happened where a company had a product not selling well at a low price point. They raised the price and made the bottle look fancy and voila, increased revenue. Same exact liquor, of course.

I don't like Vodka at all, but I can definitely taste the difference between Potters, New Amsterdam, Sky & Ciroc. If you did a blind taste test I'd bet money that 95/100 would pick Ciroc as the best tasting. While there are a lot are overpriced liquors, the higher priced ones still generally tastes better.

Gimme some Titos!

I'm the same way with tequila. Really like the stuff and it seems to agree with me more than other spirits.

however I havn't yet found 'value' brands that do not sacrifice in smoothness and flavor, though for mixers most likely fine. I have found I just prefer shots most of the time, so just keep the anejo around. The few times I mix it, I don't mind.

readily available and found to be good stuff in my area:

tres generaciones
casadores
don julio

all anejo

not been a fan of the patron line.

I do have some folks that bring me good stuff from mexico now and then. Its funny but the same label from two different areas can taste different, perhaps its all in my head.

My buddies and I noticed that too. Some of the same labels from Mexico tasted better than stuff sold in the U.S. The U.S. ones tasted more "industrial" for some reason. The bottles from both countries looked exactly the same, except the ones from Mexico have some kind of non-refillable contraption on top.

3-2-1 for me.
3 parts tequila (I like silvers for this) (1.5 oz)
2 parts Cointreau (1 oz)
1 part lime. (.5oz)

Shake and serve over ice.

If you want it tart, switch the lime and Cointreau. If you are a girl add simple syrup.

Not even close, Patron is garbage. Herradura or Don are my typical go to tequilas.

Definitely, Patron is all marketing. 1800 is pretty good if you can find it for a decent price. I´ve heard good things about Milagro but haven´t tried it yet.

Agree except that Corralejo is garbage. People usually buy it because they like the botte.
