Bandwidth test - is this one any good?

I found this bandwidth test and tried it last night with my dial-up connection. The first time I got a wopping 9.6kbps, with a 56K modem!! My first thought was, "this test is bogus", I disconnected and redialed and ended up with 41kpbs, better. I have been having some stability problems with my connection lately. I have to limit my modem to 46K, if it connects any higher, I get dropped within a minute. I have a local ISP that has been really stable in the past. Anyway, waht is everyone's thoughts on this bandwidth test? Any better ones out there?

I use it sometimes. Whether or not it's acurate I have no idea.

Yes, 9.6KB is bogus that equates to 76.8kpbs and the reality is that a good 56k connection will give you 4-5KB. The one I use is The DFW Speakeasy test site because I get consistent results on my cable connection. The best way to test speed is to go to a big companies high-speed FTP site and download a big file. If you can sustain a certain speed for a (in my case) 50MB file you know that's your true speed.

For those of you getting slower downloads, you should try messing with RWIN.
