BANDWIDTH QUESTIONS

Could we possibly tease a LITTLE more information out of you?

Is anyone else in the house sharing your broadband (I assume this is a residential network an not a business)? Are they who you're concerned about?

Do you have a wireless router? If so are you using encryption on it? If not, your neighbors could easily be leaching your broadband.

There's no way to restrict bandwidth usage for sertain users on your network unless you're on a business network with a domain server, or you have a very expensive programable switch or router.

Change the password on your router, WPA and MAC address filter if at all possible. Limit the # of IP addresses that your router will issue, and you are probbaly doing the best you can in order to prevent people from using your broadband internet without your permission. Your router will show you the traffic that is being used in your network, my Netgear 614WGR does.
